Mutton shop sealed for overcharging in Bijbehara Anantnag, FIR lodged

Anantnag: Department of food civil supplies and consumer affairs (FCS&CA) Anantnag today sealed a mutton shop here in Bijbehara area of Anantnag District for selling meat on exorbitant rates.

Sources said that the FCS&CA department Anantnag today sealed mutton shop at Bijbehara and lodged FIR against the butcher for overcharging under relevant sections of law .

The Assistant Director FCS&CA Anantnag has warned all those shopkeepers involved in overcharging and black marketing, said strict actions under law shall be initiated against violators,official sources said.

Moreover, Assistant Director FCS&CA Anantnag said he has activated his enforcement wing in the district and teams have been directed to conduct extensive market checking particularly all meat shops , poultry , Bakery , fruit and vegetable shops etc .

Strict action will be taken against the erring shopkeeper and whosoever is found involved in such practices”, he said.
