LG, his Advisor, CS, DGP, IGP, others greet people on Eid-ul-Fitr

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and other officers as well as the former ministers greeted the people on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Lt Governor, in his message, said that the festival of Eid highlights the joy of sharing. Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the period of fasting and prayer during the holy month of Ramzan and inspires all to work towards building a compassionate, harmonious, peaceful and prosperous society, he added.

“May this auspicious day strengthen mutual goodwill and instill in us a sense of unity and pride in the syncretic culture of the UT of J&K”, the Lt Governor said.

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his greeting message, the Advisor expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would strengthen faith and usher lasting peace, cohesion and prosperity across the Union Territory of Jammu and.

Advisor Bhatnagar further reminded the people that on this joyous occasion we should remember the poor and needy people and make them part of our happiness.

The Advisor also prayed for the Peace, progress and prosperity of entire Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, extended greetings to people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, wishing them well-being and prosperity.

In his message on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Chief Secretary said that the charity and good deeds observed during the holy month promote harmony and fraternity in society and inspires people to carry forward the principles of honesty, generosity, and empathy in their day-to-day lives.

He expressed hope that the festival will further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and bring greater amity, and tranquillity in the secular social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir.

On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has greeted people of J&K, families of martyrs, Police and security forces personnel and their families a joyful Eid.

In his message, DGP has said that it is a day of rejoicing, blessing, peace and celebration. He has expressed his hope that the festival will bring more joy and happiness among the people of the Jammu and Kashmir including cops, their families and the families of police martyrs.

DGP has prayed that Almighty may guide us all and shows us the right path always.

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar also extended greetings to the people on the occasion.

“IGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar greets people of Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May God shower his choicest blessings and bless all with peace, safety, good health and prosperity,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole extended his greetings to the people of Kashmir on eve of Eid-ul-Fitr as they are preparing to celebrate Eid after a complete month of fasting.

In his festival message, Div Com Kashmir prayed that this Eid brings peace and prosperity besides strengthening mutual goodwill and inspiring everyone to follow the path of love and compassion.

He said this festival teaches us to live with unity, harmony, empathy and share happiness with poor and needy people by offering charity generously.

He said this festival marks the culmination of month of blessings and forgiveness for fraternity of all humankind.

Meanwhile, Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone extended warm greetings and good wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his message, Lone hoped that Eid ul Fitr will bring peace and prosperity and strengthen unity among the people of J&K. He urged charitable organizations and common masses to extend a helping hand to the needy and make them part of the happiness.

“We as a society are duty-bound to help each other amidst the trying circumstances and ensure that those who are less fortunate, destitute, and needy get our helping hand on this auspicious day”, he added.
