Ayush Gram celebrations inaugurated at Lurow Tral
Tral, 29 March: Ayush Gram celebrations were inaugurated on Tuesday at Lurow Jageer village of Aripal tehsil in Tral Pulwama.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina, District Nodal Officer Pulwama Dr. Ali Mohammad Reshi, Block Medical Officer Tral Dr.Virender Singh along with Tehsildar Aripal, Dr.Zahoor Ahmad (Medical Officer) welcomed the guests and held the proceeding of the programme.
District Nodal Officer (DNO) Pulwama Dr.Ali Mohammad Reshi in his welcome address gave a detailed overview of the different components of AYUSH systems in general and Ayush gram in particular.
BMO Tral thanked the Ayush dept for providing cooperation in times of need and other national programmes and stressed for more inter-sectoral coordination in future.
Chief guest Shabir Ahmad Raina while praising the dept for organising such events in Tral also stressed for more such programmes in other areas of sub district.
Raina stressed for drug de-addiction programmes at AHWC Lurow and identification of cases.
A large gathering of PRIs, Aquaf committee members, school teachers, ANMs, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, eminent citizens and local population of the area attended the event.
During this event, a health committee was also framed while the local masjid committees were provided medicinal plants along with gardening tools, watering pipes, nets and flower pots etc.
Meanwhile, a plantation drive was done by chief guest along with the staff members of AHWC Lurow in the herbal garden of the institution. The event was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.Iqbal Ahmad (Medical Officer).
