Two drug peddlers arrested in Pampore, poppy straw recovered

Awantipora 31 Dec: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddlers from Pampore area.

As per the official sources, During vehicular checking at naka Tanchbagh Pampore, Police party of Police Station Pampore arrested 02 drug peddlers identified as: Jahangir Ahmad Shairgojri S/O Lal Mohd Shairgojri, and Javaid Ahmad Mir S/O Ghulam Nabi Mir both residents of Sharshali Khrew.

The arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle Alto which was signaled to stop and during through search 03 Kgs of Poppy Straw was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the vehicle.

Vehicle Alto bearing registration number JK01H-8095 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.

Case FIR Number 165/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
