Casual labour dies of electrocution while repairing transmission line in Rafiabad

Baramulla, Dec 28 : A casual labour of Power Development Department died of electrocution while repairing a transmission line in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district on Tuesday.

A official said that Mohammad Ramzan Wagay of Rawoocha Rafiabad received electric shock while repairing a transmission line in the area today morning.

He said that he was immediately taken to sub-centre Dangiwacha where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, locals of the area staged protest demonstration regarding the incident and said that before sending the casual labour for repairing the transmission line, the concerned officials should have tested checked the line first. (KNS)
