JCB seized from Nalllah Rambiara for illegal mining

During a surprise raid, Tehsildar along with a team of officers Saturday evening seized a JCB of a local contractor extracting RK minerals illegally from the prohibited Nallah near Shopian.

While two operators of the JCB along with a machine were taken into custody. A case under relevant sections was registered against the accused persons.

The Tehsildar said that he was receiving several complaints of illegal mining in the area for the past several weeks.

He said that based on  complaint ,a raid was conducted and prompt action was taken against the offenders.
