More than ’50’ sheep killed in cloudburst at Pampore

Awantipora: More than fifty sheep were killed in a cloudburst incident at Pampore pastures in South Kashmir on Tuesday, sources said on Wednesday.
They said that sheep were killed in a cloudburst triggered by heavy rains at upper reaches of Wuyan area in Pampore, following which panic gripped in the area.
Naveed Ahmad Chopan, who rears sheep informed that amid rains cloudburst incident happened suddenly, leaving more than fifty sheep dead.
He said that many of the sheep were washed away by the gushing waters, while the persons who were present there had a narrow escape.
Soon after the news about the cloudburst incident spread, people from nearby areas rushed to the spot to assess the post cloudburst situation.
Reports said that police team also reached to the spot to verify the details.
