Daughter killed, mother injured in mysterious blast in Handwara

A 36-year-old woman died and her mother got injured on Thursday after a shell went off in Amargarh village of Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Official sources identified the deceased woman as Gulnaza Akhtar and her injured mother as Sara Begum and the injured has been shifted to hospital and his condition is stated to be stable, they said.

SHO Wilgam confirmed the incident and said the investigation has been started.
