Flash flood kills elderly woman in Larnoo kokernag village

Anantnag: A 47-year-old woman died due to a flash flood triggered by a cloud burst and heavy rain in the Larnoo Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday afternoon, police said.

An official told Arising state that an unidentified woman,47 died after a flash flood washed her away, triggered by a cloud burst in the forest area on Thursday afternoon at Larnoo kokernag.

He said that the deceased is most probably a nomad woman and her body was fished out near Shatroo bridge at Larnoo area of Kokernag.

The dead body of the woman was shifted to PHC Larnoo for identification, he said.
