Butcher tests positive for COVID-19 in Tral, shop sealed, fumigation drive launched

Tral, 6 May: A butcher tested positive for Coronavirus in the Tral area of South Kashmir on Thursday morning, following which his shop was sealed by administration and police.
Officials said that in a surprise COVID-19 test conducted by the health department, the butcher turned positive near Bus Stand Tral and was immediately isolated.
They said that soon after the report, a joint team of administration and police rushed to the spot and sealed the shop.
Later, Municipal committee workers launched a fumigation drive around the shop, with the motive to contain the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, SDPO Tral Dr. Aijaz Malik while talking to the Arising State appealed people to stay indoors and ensure vaccination.
He said that people shouldn’t roam unnecessarily and should follow SOPs and lockdown guidelines properly.
It is pertinent to mention here that a complete lockdown is being observed in Tral and other parts of South Kashmir on the seventh consecutive day today.
