Police register FIR against 47 people for encroaching forest land in Pahalgam & cultivating Cannabis in it

Anantnag : Police station Pahalgam has registered an FIR against 47 people accused of encroaching forest land and cultivating cannabis plants in the encroached land. Case FIR No 18/2021 under sections of 8/20 NDPSA & 26 Indian Forest Act was registered in Police Station Pahalgam based on a criminal complaint lodged by Forest Range officer of the area. All the accused belong to village Lidroo located nearby the encroached forest land. Police has firmly reiterated that one and all involved in drug trafficking and cultivating narcotic drugs will face the wrath of law.
