Lightning strike in Anantnag kills 25-year-old youth

Anantnag: A 25-year-old youth was killed after being struck by lightning in Ashmuqam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag District on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Junaid Shafi Wani, son of Mohd Shafi Wani, resident of Thokerpora Siligam Ashmuqam.

A police official confirmed the incident and said that lightning struck near the house of the deceased, resulting in his on-the-spot death.
