Handicrafts and Handloom department organises awareness camp in Tral

Tral: Handicrafts and handloom department Kashmir organised artisan awareness camp on Tuesday morning.

The camp was organised in townhall Tral in presence of Assistant Director Handicrafts Pulwama, Qadeer Charak, which was inaugurated by Additional deputy Commissioner Tral S A Raina (KAS).

Besides that, Tehsildar Tral and other officials of Handicrafts department were also present.

On that occasion, large gathering of artisan of Sub District Tral participated in the camp, which was addressed by experts of handicrafts department.

The experts apprised the participants and artisans about latest techniques and welfare programmes being implemented for the welfare of the artisan community.

Talking to the Arising State, Assistant Director handicrafts, Pulwama, Qadeer Charak has said that it was the fourth awareness programme in this area, as the three programmes were earlier held in Awantipora, Pampore and Aripal tehsils.

He said that dept is involving more and more trainees into it, and will increase their stipend from next financial year.

ADC While addressing the artisans, said that the camps are being organised to aware the artisans about various handicraft activities and the schemes associated with them.

He also emphasised on the need to preserve the heritage crafts of J&K and elaborated the steps being taken by the department in this regard.

He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the welfare schemes percolate down to the target groups and urged the entrepreneurs and societies to avail the benefits of the departmental schemes.

Govt introduces MFA Security System on JK BEAMS Portal Jammu:The Finance Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) through Sandes (SMS-based authentication) on the JK BEAMS Portal to further strengthen the security framework of the online financial management system.According to an official circular issued by the department, the MFA system has been successfully integrated into the live environment and all concerned officers and users have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the new security protocols. The circular applies to all Director Finances, Director Plannings, Financial Advisors (FAs), Chief Accounts Officers (CAOs), Accounts Officers (AOs), Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), and Maker/Checker users associated with the JK BEAMS Portal. The department has emphasized that Maker/Checker users shall be solely responsible for the secure handling, confidentiality and proper use of their login credentials. Users have been strictly instructed not to share login details, one-time passwords (OTPs) or any authentication-related information with any unauthorized person under any circumstances. Officials have also been directed to ensure that their registered mobile numbers linked with Sandes remain active, valid and accessible for receiving authentication messages. Any discrepancy, authentication failure or technical issue is required to be reported immediately through the official email IDs issued by the department. The circular further stated that the respective Maker/Checker users will be held solely accountable for any transaction or activity carried out using their credentials.The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority under reference number FD-BDGTODBT/1/2025-PMU-FD (7651222), and copies have been forwarded to all Administrative Secretaries for information and necessary compliance.
