In an emergency meeting of the Executive members of Kashmir High Court Bar Association under the Chairmanship of Advocate N.A.Ronga was called in which amongst other issues the recent killings of three Kashmiri students by armed forces at Lawaypora, Srinagar was discussed at length. The killing of the students has not only sent shock waves across Kashmir but has equally shocked the Lawyers community also. It is painful to know that the deceased students had nothing to do with militancy, they were not directly or indirectly involved with any militant organisation and were innocent students as per the statement of their families.
The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association has demanded, “a high-level probe in this matter by a sitting High Court Judge so that the real and actual facts are brought before the public and guilty are severely punished”.
The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association is sharing the grief with the family members of the deceased students and pray almighty Allah to give them the strength to bear this irreparable loss. It was also resolved that a delegation of Bar Association shall visit the families of the deceased students.
