DDC Poll result: Baramulla Admin imposes restrictions on processions, bursting of firecrackers on 22, 23 Dec

The District Magistrate Baramulla has imposed restrictions under Section 144 on carrying out processions/gatherings by the political parties on 22nd & 23rd December and a complete ban has been placed on the sale and bursting of firecrackers in the district.

An order issued by district magistrate of which a copy lies with Kashmir news service (KNS), the order vide no. DMB/PS/144(DDCE)/2020/8622-32 and DMB/PS/144(DCE)/2020/8633-43 has issued by district magistrate Baramulla that reads a complete ban has been placed on transpiration, stocking, sale, purchase, and bursting of firecrackers in Baramulla district w.e.f 22/12/2020.

Restrictions under section 144 CrPC has also been placed on carrying out processions/gatherings by the political parties on the 22nd and 22nd of December 2020, an order issued by the Bàramula administration reads.

“No processions/gatherings and use of loudspeakers or any other amplifying sound for making a speech or announcements shall be allowed without proper permission of District Magistrate/Addl.

District Magistrates/SDMs subject to prior NOC from the concerned SSP’s/SDPO’s of respective jurisdictions as the case may be.” the order reads

However, the restrictions imposed by DM shall not be applicable for holding prayers in Masjids or burial rites and in such cases/occasions.
