Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Talat Parvez Rohella visits GDC Pampore

Pampore, 21 Dec: Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella, along with Nodal Officer School Education, Yasmeen Shaheen, on Monday, visited Government Degree College Pampore to attend a literary function there.

The function was conducted by the college authorities, which was attended by a large number of students, apart from the Principal of the college and the staff.

Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella was the chief guest of the programme, who was accompanied by Yasmeen Shaheen, Nodal Officer, School Education.

During the function, resource persons highlighted the importance of education in the present era and lauded the efforts of the college authorities for the welfare of students.

On the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary said that there is a dire need to impart technical education and inculcate technical skills among students.

He said that “If they are technically strong, they can grab the employment opportunities for themselves, as well as for others.”

Later on, the Commissioner Secretary inaugurated the College Magazine “Shahr-e-zaffron”, Gym Center, and also laid the foundation stone of the college book library.
