2 drug peddlers arrested,narcotics recovered

Kupwara Aug 7, 2022: In yet another success against drug peddlers, Kupwara Police has arrested two persons involved in peddling of drugs in the district.
Acting on a specific information on August 6,2022 that two drug peddlers were on way to Kupwara town to sell narcotics, a special naka was established at Gushi to intercept them. During the course of naka checking, police team headed by SHO Kupwara Inspector Rafiq Lone apprehended two notorious drug peddlers namely Tanveer Sultan Bhat son of Mohd Sultan Bhat resident of Dahama Vilgam and Waseen Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Malik Khan resident of Dedikoot Vilgam along with contraband brown sugar like substance in their possession. Case FIR number 199/2022 under sections 8/21 ,29 NDPS Act has been registered investigation taken up.
