1992-batch IPS Officer Nalin Prabhat Appointed SDG of J&K Police

Srinagar, Aug 15: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has appointed Nalin Prabhat, IPS (AP:1992) as the Special Director General (SDG) of Jammu & Kashmir Police

“Effective immediately, Prabhat joins the AGMUT Cadre on inter-cadre deputation from Andhra Pradesh and will serve as the Special Director General (SDG) of Jammu & Kashmir Police until September 30, 2024,” states an order issued by the MHA.

In addition, Nalin Prabhat will assume the role of Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu & Kashmir, starting October 1, 2024, following the retirement of the current DGP, Sh. R.R. Swain, IPS (AGMUT:1991). This new assignment will remain in effect until further orders
